The Dussmann Stiftung & Co. KGaA and associated companies (in the following “Dussmann”) takes the protection of your personal data seriously and complies with the regulations governing data protection. Personal data is collated only as necessary. Our staff has undertaken to comply with the regulations governing data protection, discretion, and confidentiality.

In the following, we elucidate the information collated during your visit and how it is used.

Personal data and consent

Personal data is defined as information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g. name, address, telephone number, date of birth).

Dussmann collates, processes and uses your personal data only with prior consent. Your personal data is used only for the purposes and scope given in the statement of consent. When you visit our websites, there is information that is temporarily saved as standard for the purposes of system security: connection data of the computer, the websites that you visit, the date and duration of the visit and the data of the browser and operating system. Personal data such as your name, address, telephone number or email address is not saved unless you give it voluntarily e.g. as a registration for a contract or other request.

Use and distribution of personal data

If your personal data is necessary to start, process or end a contractual relationship or similar, or for the purpose of website administration we collate, process and use personal data.

We will only use your data for product surveys or marketing purposes if you have given your consent or if you have not lodged an objection – inasmuch as this is permitted by law.

Contact Forms

If you use a contact form on our website, the data given will be saved and passed to the contact person at Dussmann. It will not be used for other purposes other than those given in the contact form.

Access of Third Parties to Personal Data

We carry out collation, processing and use of personal data ourselves and by other companies belonging to the Dussmann Group or service providers contracted by us unless explicitly excluded. In such cases, we ensure compliance with data protection regulations. In the context of an order for services, an external service provider may be contracted, for example, for the delivery of goods or advertising materials.

Personal data is not passed on without your consent with the exception of authorized state authorities, if we are required by law or by court order. Under no circumstances will your personal data be sold or otherwise exploited.

Cookies

“Cookies” are small text files which save specific information on your computer whilst you visit a website. Cookies help to identify frequency of use, the number of visitors to our websites and to make information available in a convenient and efficient way. Cookies do not damage your computer or contain viruses.

So-called “Session-Cookies” are used which are saved only for the duration of your visit to our website.

Please not that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended to include the code „anonymizeIp“ to ensure anonymous collation of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps to visualize locations and how to get there. Google Maps is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. By using this website, you automatically consent to collation, processing and use of the data automatically collated by Google, a representative of Google or a third party provider.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to one of our newsletters, we need at least a valid email address. Further information is voluntary. Following subscription, the system sends an email with an activation link to confirm that you are the owner of the email address and that you agree with the subscription. You are included in the newsletter recipient list only after confirming your subscription (the so-called double opt-in procedure).

Your consent to the listing of your email address and receipt of the newsletter can be retracted at any time. Retraction can be made using a link in the newsletter.

Security

All technical and organizational security measures necessary to protect your personal data against loss and abuse have been taken. Data is saved in a secure environment and is not accessible to the public.

Amendments to this data protection policy

We update this statement regularly. It may be necessary to make amendments in accordance with changes in conditions or legislation. These amendments are deemed accepted when you use the website.

Retraction and Deletion

Deletion of any personal data saved is made when you properly retract your consent, when it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was saved or when collation does not conform with legal regulations.
